Cora Elhel (Bailey) Williams was born to her loving parents George Smith and Flora Ella (Hoffman) Bailey – White on Saturday March 29, 1884 at Nehawka, Cass County Nebraska. Cora was born second of nine siblings. My research found no information on Cora's childhood or schooling. Cora was united in marriage to Fred Williams, they were blessed with a son and a daughter. Fred was employed at the Taylor's Ranch, Cora was his devoted wife, the couple lived west of Alda. Cora became ill around the middle of October and her condition gradually became serious. Sadly Cora passed away from toxemia on Sunday December 7, 1913 at 2p at the General Hospital at Alda, Hall County Nebraska. Cora lived 29 years, 8 months, 8 days which does not include his last day, she lived a total of 10,844 days. After Cora passed her husband Fred must have then decided to place their daughter Mildred up for adoption, Mildred was three years of age. Cora's funeral was held at the Friends' Church at Alda on Tuesday afternoon December 9, 1913 at 2:30p. Cora's was interred in the Alda Cemetery. Cora's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Cora by Loren R. I believe all lives matter, even the lives of those who have passed. Many details are still missing from her life, if you have any more details I will be happy to edit the additional information into this biography. Please send your info to me at my email address [email protected]
