Mrs. F. W. Gerloff Services Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Frank W. Gerloff who died Saturday at 11:20 a.m. in the Holmes Community Hospital, were held today at 10 a.m. in the Seydler-Hill Chapel with the Rev. Richard M. Porche of Medina officiating . Interment was in the E.O.W. Cemetery.
Mrs. Gerloff was born June 1, 1894 in Lavaca county,the daughter of Forrest W. and Mandy Harrell Stokesberry, natives of Texas and Alabama, respectively. She was married September 20, 1910 in Yoakum to Frank W. Gerloff who preceded her in death July 25, 1961. Mrs. Gerloff resided on McCollum Street in Gonzales. She was a member of the Memorial Heights Baptist church.
Survivors include on daughter, Mrs. Rosie Lee Vanek of Gonzales; three sons, Fred and Virgil Gerloff both of Gonzales and Roy Gerloff of Columbus; one sister, Mrs. Katie Maywald of Wallar; one brother, Orvel Stokesberry of Waco; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Irene Stahl, died December 3, 1947.
