Samuel H. Wanlass

AMERICAN FORK--Samuel Huggard (Sam) Wanlass, 80, passed away September 19, 1995 at his home in American Fork following a lingering illness.
He was born November 2, 1914 in American Fork, a son of Samuel Edward and Ruby Vanina Huggard Wanlass. He married Leone Jensen February 20, 1941. He was a Veteran of World War II and retired from Provo River Water Users.

Survived by his wife, Leone, of American Fork; six sons and a daughter: Grant S. and Derron L., both of Seattle; Kay H. and Chris P., both of Pleasant Grove; Carl T. (Patty), American Fork; Rex C. (Jeanine), Martinez, Calif.; Carol M. (Larry) Holdaway, Canyon Country, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; brother, Darrell Wanlass, and sisters Mildred Mecham, Mary Ann Andrews, all of American Fork, and Beth Cook, of Pleasant Grove. Preceded in death by his parents and a son, Samuel J.

The family gives special thanks to Mark Miller of Community Nursing Service for his devoted and compassionate care.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, 11 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, where friends may call Friday 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Burial, American Fork Cemetery. Military Rites by VFW, District 4.
