Perry W. Clevy, 93, of Claremont, died at 7:25 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2004, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Brother John Craig officiating. Burial will be in Sumner City Cemetery.

Mr. Clevy was born on February 6, 1911, in Claremont, the son of John and Emma Clevy. He married Garnett Chaplin. She preceded him in death on June 21, 1994.

He was a retired foreman from B&O Railroad and was a member of Chauncey Community Club.

Mr. Clevy is survived by two sons, Jack Clevy and his wife, Bonnie, of Claremont, and Jim Clevy, of St. Louis, Mo.; two granddaughters, Karen Schneller and her husband, Fred, of Decatur, and Brenda Beard and her husband, Robert, of Claremont; four great-grandsons, Ted Schneller and Ben Schneller, of Decatur, and Dalyn and Jesse Beard, of Claremont; a great-great-grandson, Terrence Beard; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two children, Elaine and Philip, five sisters and two brothers.
