SHEILA K. ADKINS, 51, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, she had worked as an Administrative Assistant for Aetna Life Insurance Company, then Waterfield Mortgage Company. She was a 1975 graduate of Bishop Luers High School, and lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. "She loved her two children, Ben and Desiree, and was very active in their lives, and loved her dog, Cuddles." Surviving are her fiance, Rick Crowell of Fort Wayne; daughter, Desiree Adkins of Fort Wayne; son, Ben Adkins of New Haven; stepsisters, Ann Hardiek, and Kathy Baumgardner, both of Roanoke; stepbrothers, Rick Bontempo, Paul Bontempo, and Larry Bontempo, all of Fort Wayne. Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, Fort Wayne. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to A.L.S. Association of Indiana.
