Danny Grant Barnes, 62, of Meriden, husband of Sherry (Cochran) Barnes, passed away unexpectedly, November 10, 2017 at MidState Medical Center.
He was born in New Britain on November 1, 1955, a son of the late Morrell and Ramona (Cray) Barnes.
He worked for H. J. Kelly Associates and as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles and especially loved hanging out with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Sherry, he is survived by his daughter, Crystal R. Stratton; his sons, Tommy Banes and Damon Mesite, all of Meriden; his sisters, Darlean Gordon, Diane Barnes; his brothers, Dean Barnes, all of Southington; his grandchildren, Harold Barnes, Brody Barnes, Damon Mesite, and Maddison Mesite; and many nieces and nephews.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 2 pm until 5 pm with a funeral service to be celebrated at 4:30 pm during the calling hours.
