CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA - Christopher "Slick" Mullins, 49, died Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
He was born in Abingdon, Virginia, and loved all kinds of music but his favorite was Bluegrass. He played the bass for several bands throughout the region. Everyone will miss him strumming on his bass.
He is survived by his parents, Arnold and Lois Mullins of Castlewood, Virginia; his brother and his very best friend, Timothy Mullins and friend, Olivia Dollarhyde of Castlewood, Virginia; one niece, Alannah Mullins; one nephew, Parker Mullins; three special friends, Randy Dutton, Jack Arrowood, and John Vandiver; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Christopher "Slick" Mullins will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Molls Creek Church in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Bill Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Keith Cemetery in Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Randy Dutton, Bill Mullins, Harvey Mullins, Bill Johnson, Jack Arrowood, and Mavin Lane. Honorary Pallbearers will be Guy Jessee, Guy Mullins, Larry Mullins, and Larry Hicks.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Molls Creek Church in Castlewood, Virginia following the same restrictions.
