John Albert Cochran, Sr., 67 of Glen Dale, WV, died Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at home.
He was born September 25, 1952, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late David S. and Mary Margaret Hicks Cochran.
He was a graduate of John Marshall High School and retired from the Murray Coal Company, Shoemaker Mine. John enjoyed boating, golfing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Robert Cochran and James Ray Cochran and by two sisters, Pamela Sue Cochran and Harriet Jean Woodyard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Polis Cochran; four children, Amy Jo Cochran Corvino, Jamie Lynn Cochran, Corleen (Daniel) Long and Johnny Cochran; two sisters, Patricia Manson and Joanne Calcara; one brother, Mike (Rhonda) Cochran; five grandchildren, Ethan Corvino, Tristan Cochran, Andy Scott, Jonah Long, and Judah Long; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Kayden and Mariana and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 27, 2020 from 3 - 6 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville.
