After battling multiple medical issues, Anita passed peacefully in her home on October 8, 2016. She was born in Los Angeles as the oldest of six children: David (deceased), Paul, Linda, Nancy, and Margaret.
Her early years were spent in Castro Valley, CA. She was fourteen when her family moved outside of Galt. Anita Graduated from Galt High School in 1962 and married Willie Barbee (deceased) shortly thereafter. They raised four children: Cheryl (deceased), Danny, Ricky, and Gary.
In 1983 Anita and Harvey Keller were united in marriage. His two children, Keith Keller and Gina McGregor were added to the family tree.
Anita was creative with crafts, as well as a skilled seamstress and upholsterer. She was known for her generosity, honesty, and caring ways.
Anita is survived and will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren (one, Sereena, preceded her in death): Jocelyn, Andrew, Jacob, Cameron Barbee, Amanda, and Cheyenne McGregor.
