Anna Venelia Russell, 80, a local resident many years ago and a sister of Mrs. Mary Onwiler of Lindsay, died Sunday morning in a Visalia hospital.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. yesterday in the Lindsay Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Herman Grams officiating. Burial followed in the Olive Cemetery.
A native of Michigan, Anna Russell had lived in California for nearly half a century. She was employed in a Fresno department store for 30 years, retiring four years ago to live in Visalia.
Besides Mrs. Onwiler, she is survived by two other sisters, Mrs. Hattie Johnson of Chicago, Ill., and Miss Emma Russell of Visalia, and two brothers, Paul Russell of Bow, Wash., and George of Blanchard, Mich.
