Kenneth Everett Gay Of Freeport, Texas passed away peacefully at home Saturday September 30, 2017 at the age of 71. Kenneth was born on April 12, 1946.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ruth Gay, his children Sidney Gay, Philip Gay, Malinda Crigger & son in law Buddy Crigger, Henry Gay & daughter in law Melinda Gay, Nicholette Reynolds & son in law Brett Reynolds; and many loving grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and lifelong friends.
He enjoyed the outdoors, spending his time working with cattle and riding horses. He loved the lord and going to church, when he could. He was the jokester of the family, loved to make people laugh and be silly. He loved his grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Eugene & Rosa Louise Gay; grandsons, Nicholas Palmer Gay and Gregory Daniel Gay; granddaughter Kelly Gay; brother, Leroy Gay; and sister, Carol E. Gay.
Viewing will be held at Stroud Funeral Home Wednesday October 4, 2017 from 5-7 pm.
Kenneth's celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 5, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, TX. There will be a graveside service at Gulf Prairie Cemetery in Jones Creek, TX.
