James "Jim" David Raynor, age 79, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020. James was born July 27, 1940.
Jim is survived by his wife of 37 years, Alma Joy Raynor; daughter, Ketrin Boone (Ty) of Tulsa, OK; sons, Jay Raynor (Marissa) of Chattanooga, TN, Ted Raynor (Carla) of Chattanooga, TN; six grandchildren, Drew Boone, Haley Boone, Blake Boone, Chase Raynor, Aubrey Raynor and Gracie Raynor.
Mr. Raynor was proceeded in death by his brother, Charles Raynor; sister, Nancy Mitchell; and grandson, Maximus Raynor.
Jim enjoyed athletics from the time he was a small child. He was a collegiate athlete, an avid golfer and twice medaled in The Senior Olympic Games.
After retiring as an independent business owner, Mr. Raynor enjoyed spending time with family and watching nieces, nephews and grandchildren grow up until his final days.
A visitation for James will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
