Sandra "Sandy" Gail Sims, 58, of Charlotte, died Saturday, July 22 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born in Mecklenburg County to Nettie Elizabeth Lanier Sims and the late Ernest Hargrove Sims.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her son Jason Sims; her twin sister Brenda Sims and their other siblings Beverly Boseman, John Boseman, Jeff Patterson, Donnie Patterson, Frank Antonucci and Claudia Potter.

Her son will remember her as a loving mother. She will be missed by all and especially her twin sister who says she was more like a mother than a sister.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, July 27 at 7:30 P.M. in the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly, NC. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
