Mr. White was a cattleman, farmer and businessman in East Feliciana Parish, LA for most of his life. He was the former owner of Service Gas and Oil Company Inc., an Exxon distributorship, and former manager of Amite County and Feliciana Farmers Cooperative. He served for 20 years on the board of supervisors of Feliciana Soil and Water Conservation District and was chairman for many years. He also served on the ASCS committee. He was a member of the East Feliciana, Amite County and Mississippi Cattleman's Associations and a life member of the Louisiana Cattleman's Association. He served on the board of Feliciana Farm Bureau for many years and was the first Farm Bureau Insurance Agent in East Feliciana Parish. He was a member of the Louisiana Forestry Association and a former member of Capital RC&D Committee, where he was on the executive board. He was a member of First Baptist Church in McComb. He was treasurer of the Mississippi Baptist Association for 16 years. He served on the Clinton UMC Board of Stewards, Board of Trustees and Finance Committee.

He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Lester "Bob" White; his father, Dulo White; one brother, Lotis D. White; and a sister-in-law, Katherine Gay White.

He was survived by his wife, Jane Nunnery White of McComb; one son, Lee White and wife Alinda of Liberty; his mother, Velma Perkins White; one brother, Arnold White of Zachary, LA; a sister-in-law, Mary Myrtle White of Zachary; a brother-in-law, Dr.Jack Nunnery and wife Sue; nieces and nephews.
