OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Thursday, 7 December 1967:
Eliga M. (Bud) Peevy, 52, died early today in the Missouri Pacific Hospital. He lived on Route 2, Elkhart.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Bailey Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart.
Mr. Peevy was a county employee and a member of Elkhart Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eula Bell Munsinger Peevy of Elkhart; a son, Vernon Peevy of Elkhart; three brothers, Harden, Homer and Dee Peevy, all of Elkhart; five sisters, Mrs. W. W. Moore, Mrs. F. C. Easley and Mrs. F. D. Ashley, all of Elkhart, Mrs. N. B. Dickson of Palestine and Mrs. C. H. West of Huntsville; several nieces and nephews.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
