Born in Susquehanna, PA, Dawn spent most of her life in the Pennsylvania mountains, living in Hallstead, Montrose, Bloomsburg and Sunbury. She loved "her mountains" and her favorite thing to do was sit in her glider on the back porch with family and friends, talking and watching the sun set behind the mountains. Dawn also formerly lived in Newark and Stanton, DE, where she and Milton raised their three children.
Dawn is survived by Milton, her husband of 48 years; her children, Bill & Amy (Dodd) Sherman of Bear, DE; Vicki and Gary Benfield of Charleston, SC; and Denise and Michael Keen of Newark, DE; her sister, Bonnie Baker Johnson of Montrose, PA; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Nikki), Lindsay, Jacob, Emily, Amber, Tyler, Alexander and Emma; and dozens of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Baker and mother, Marion Joines Baker, both formerly of Hallstead, PA.
