DEATH. AT FORTY FORT. For the past five or six days many friends have almost "hourly awaited' news from the sick bedside of one of Forty Fort's most highly respected and beloved citizens, Mrs. Jane Victoria Allen, wife of Nelson B. Allen. She was taken sick only a little over a week since, with what was thought to be grip, but which terminated in a virulent form of typhoid pneumonia. Despite best medical skill and nursing the end came on Wednesday morning about 10 o'clock. Mrs. Allen was Identified with every good enterprise in the community, being a 'loyal supporter of the church and an ardent temperance worker. She was of a kindly and generous disposition, with hands ever open to the poor and needy, and; her ministrations to the sick were numerous and gentle. She was the mother of seven children. nearly all of whom have come to manhood and womanhood, and her home. now desolated by her departure, was always a place of brightness, cheerfulness, rest and hope. Her memory and Influence are blessed and fragrant. The sorrowing husband and children are followed by the solicitude of a host of friends. Funeral services will he held on Saturday afternoon at the residence, 906 Wyoming avenue, at 2 o'clock. Burial In Forty Fort cemetery.
