A 1960 graduate of Cannelton High School, she continued her education at Purdue University receiving her Master's Degree in Animal Science. She left briefly, living in Montana, before returning home. She worked as a caregiver for the elderly but will be most fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her many animals, especially horses and dogs. She had been active in assisting any animal organization in Perry County that she could, especially Perry County Animal Shelter.
Surviving is a brother, Garry Anderson (Eike), Laguna Niguel, California and a sister, Donna Ehret, Rome.
