Mr. Cobb was born December 31, 1893, to the late William E. Cobb and Josephine (Walker) Cobb. He was a farmer and had lived in Duncan, Miss. for forty-four years and had lived in Bude for the past three years.
He was a devout member of the Duncan Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Cora Bell Cobb, Bude, Miss., one son, James Eugene Cobb, Sr. and his wife Delores (Fullilove) Cobb; three grandchildren, Linda Lynn Cobb, Sherry Lee Cobb and James Eugene Cobb, Jr., all of Duncan, MS; three sisters, Mae Bass and her husband Carey, Vidalia, LA, Elizabeth Short, Duncan, MS and Mrs. L. W. Whittington of Denham Springs, LA.
Burial was in Damascus Cemetery in Franklin County with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
