Mark Huston Fox, 91, a lifelong resident of Connersville, passed away Sunday evening, July 19, 2020, at Reid Health, Richmond.

He was born in Connersville on September 2, 1928, one of seven children of John Henry and Ruth (Baber) Fox. He was a 1947 graduate of Connersville High School.

On May 12, 1951 he married the former Marjorie J. Williams of Connersville. Mrs. Fox passed away on September 11, 2009.

Mark was married to Esther Patton in 2010 who passed away in 2018.

A proud veteran, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War, receiving the Purple Heart for wounds received near Satai-Ri, North Korea, on September 19, 1951. He also received a Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Campaign Stars and the UN Service Medal. On April 23, 2016, Mark was selected to participate in the Indy Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

Survivors include three children, Michael Fox and wife, Kathleen of Hamilton, Ohio, Cathy Cochran and husband, John of Richmond, Indiana and Shirley Eubanks and husband, David of Fishers, Indiana; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; twin sister, Mary Browning of Brookville, and sister Rita Marshall and husband James of Cambridge City; a brother-in-law, Robert Williams and wife Lynn of New Castle; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his wives, he is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles Fox and James Fox, and two sisters, Betty Krammes and Rena Thompson.

Burial with military honors will follow in Dale Cemetery.
