Mr. Daniel Perez passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and children on Sunday July 19, 2020 at his residence in Lubbock. He was born on May 23, 1939 in Hearn, Tx to the late Jessie and Juanita Perez. Daniel attended school in Meadow, Tx. Daniel married the love of his life Lola Ritz on November 19, 1955 in Meadow. They were married 64 years. Over the years Daniel worked as a blue-collar worker and was a handy man of many trades. Daniel professed his faith in Christ and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield. Daniel loved his family dearly. He enjoyed spending time with family and his children. He enjoyed taking trips and was a giver. He would help anyone he could and never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Juanita, brothers, David and Benny Perez. Daniel is survived by his lovely wife of 64 years and 8 months, 2 daughters; Janie Benton of Brownfield, Gloria Quintanilla (Rocky) of Wolfforth, 2 sons; Daniel Perez (Elisha), Johnny Joe Perez (Patty), 4 sisters; Sarah Cruz, Susan Robles (Roy), Patsy Ruiz, Mary Ruiz (Eusebio). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday July 22, 2020 4-8 p.m. in the chapel of Grace Funeral Care 1211 Lubbock Road Brownfield. Funeral service will be Thursday July 23, 2020 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Carter officiating. He will be laid to rest in Meadow Cemetery.
