Donna J. (Cobb) Jennings, age 93 of Grain Valley, Missouri (formally of Mayview, Missouri) died on July 20, 2020 in Hollister, Missouri.

She was born October 11, 1926 in Mayview, and was the daughter of Fred and Regina (Dobson) Cobb. She married E. Claude Jennings September 27, 1944. He preceded her in death July 23, 2013.

Donna was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Mayview and was a 1944 graduate of Mayview High School. She was active in the VFW Auxiliary, Parent Teacher Association, the 40-Ville 4-H Club, and many other Mayview and Lafayette County activities.

She started her work history as a switchboard operator in Mayview; then as a Postal Clerk at the Post Office in Mayview; and she retired after 20 years from Western Electric. Donna's most important job was raising her children, caring for grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always ready to take them fishing and swimming during the summer, and sledding in the winter. Family was everything to Donna.

Surviving are her son, Alan (Beth) Jennings of Hollister, Missouri; one daughter, Karen McAllister of Grain Valley, Missouri; six grandchildren, Roman (Amie) Franklin, Robert (April) McAllister, Amber (Ron) Schroeder, Loren (Suzy) McAllister, Jacob (Trish) Jennings, and Laif Jennings; eighteen great-grandchildren; and almost seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Claude Jennings; one brother, Robert L. Cobb; one daughter, Wanda Franklin; and a great-grandson, Seth Franklin.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 12:00 PM with a visitation at 11:00 AM at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Terry Cook officiating. This service is open to the public but social distancing and masks are encouraged.

Casket bearers: Roman Franklin, Robert McAllister, Amber Schroeder, Loren McAllister, Jacob Jennings, and Laif Jennings.

Honorary casket bearers are the great-grandchildren. Memorial Contributions may be made to Family Choice or individual personal choice.
