Norman William Clark, born June 1, 1917 during the first world-wide virus pandemic, succumbed on July 19, 2020, at the age of 103 to the second world-wide virus. He was born in Dallas, TX to George and Veronie (Burton) Clark. He married Elizabeth Jane Russell on April 15, 1939, in Rockwall, TX.

Norman was employed as a truck driver for Canada Dry as well as delivering gasoline between Dallas and East Texas. In April 1944, during World War II, he joined the U.S. Army where he served in the Army Air Corp as an Aircraft Mechanic. After the war, Norman held many jobs in the aircraft industry and retired from Bell Helicopter in 1967.

Norman and Jane enjoyed many years of traveling the United States in their travel trailer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting minerals, rocks, and making jewelry. He was a Deacon at New Hope Baptist Church in Aubrey, TX.

Norman was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Jane and his son Michael David Clark. He is survived by three daughters, Jeannine Jordan and husband Chet of Decatur, TX; Sue Wooldridge and husband Ronnie of Aubrey, TX; and Cathey Brownlow and husband Larry Gardner of Norman, OK; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held 9:30AM-10:00AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, TX. A graveside service will begin at 10:00AM with Dr. Wallace Watkins officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral Center.
