Dorothy Pellerin Paul, a lifelong resident of Verdunville, passed away at the age of 91, in the evening hours of Friday, July 17, 2020, at Franklin Foundation Hospital, just ten days shy of her 92nd birthday.
Put, as she was affectionately known, was born in Verdunville and was the only child of Louisiana Verdun and Edgar Pellerin. She married Larry Nathan Paul and the two were blessed with ten children. Her family was truly her life and she loved them with all that she had. Some of her enjoyments in life were cooking, watching her favorite TV show, The Waltons, and of course spending time with those she loved.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her nine children, Gary Paul Sr., Larry Nathan Paul Jr. and his wife Kathleen, Lilly P. Breslin and her husband Eugene, Louella P. Landry, Kitty P. Goodman, Sandra P. Pellerin and her husband Cosmas, Pauline P. Hamer and her husband Paul, Stephen Paul and his wife Sylvia, and Margie P. Trahan and her husband Ken; 31 grandchildren; as well as a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Nathan Paul Sr.; her son, Lanny Thomas Paul; her mother and step-father, Louisiana Verdun and Mike Paul Jr.; her father, Edgar Pellerin; and two grandchildren, Andre Landry and Danielle Pellerin Guidroz.
A private graveside service will be held in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Verdunville.
