OBITUARY.
Died - At his residence near Delphos, Ringgold county, Iowa, March 4, 1884, of lung fever, in the 44th year of his age, Mr. X. T. Prentice.
Brother Prentice was a native of Ohio and moved to this county about three years ago, with his family. As a citizen and a neighbor he was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He was a loving husband and kind father, his home was always full of sunshine. He was a consistent member of the Baptist church for over twenty years. His funeral services were conducted at his home, by Rev. P. Andrews, in the presence of a large number of friends and neighbors. His remains were then conveyed to the depot at Delphos and brought to Mt. Ayr on the train, and laid away to rest in the cemetery at that place. He leaves behind him a wife and three children to mourn his loss. He leaves behind him an influence for good. "The memory of the just is blessed."
