Sharon Elizabeth Lawrence - Roberts age 67, passed away unexpectedly July 18th, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones at UVM medical center in Burlington, VT.

Born in Lake Placid on August 5th, 1952, Sharon was the daughter of the late Julia A. (Demar) and Reginald J. Whitman.

Upon completion of high school, Sharon married the love of her life, Leander H. Lawrence Sr. August 13th, 1977. He predeceased her on February 3rd, 2017.

Sharon married her second love, Stephen E. Roberts on August 23rd, 2017. He also predeceased her on November 13th, 2019. Sharon had been residing in Punta Gorda Florida prior to her passing.

Sharon is survived by her daughters Tonya L. (Chris) Woodard of Saranac Lake, NY, Tara (Reginald) Johnson of Rochester, NY. Her son, Sean-Michael Lawrence of Saranac Lake, NY. Her sister Shirley (Rip) Allen of Saranac Lake, NY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Brendan, Cody and Nicholas Woodard, Savannah and Julianne Pickreign and Braiden & Madison Montour; two great grandchildren, Autumn (Bearden) Woodard, Alexander Woodard and her great grandchild due in January 2021. She was predeceased by her sister Mary (Jim) Gagnon of Crown Point, NY on May 25th, 2020.

Sharon worked at Uihlein Mercy Center (Elderwood) for many, many years as a CNA and as a private home health aide prior to her early retirement. During her career and retirement, Sharon made many life-long friends along the way. When you first met Sharon it was an instant like, she was a quiet, down to earth, and quirky woman that you just fell in love with. She enjoyed Sunday rides to Vermont and early bird lawn sales on Saturdays. She loved spending time with her family and Saturday nights with Lee at the American Legion listening to country music.

She used to wake Julianne, Savannah, Sean & Braiden up early in the morning to show them the dolphins jumping in the ocean (when on vacation in Virginia Beach.) They also said how she used to bring them down to the beach to collect sea shells together. She also loved her (once upon a time) breakfast & dinner phone calls with her sister Shirley. That was the highlight of her day. One of her newest and most loved adventures was with her great granddaughter Autumn who had become her Saturday date partner, spending the day going wherever Autumn wanted to go, shopping, riding her scooter in a parking lot or stopping at Teddy's in Bloomingdale to get their favorite ice cream. They always came back with lots of laughs and memories to share.

Note: Cremation with burial in the North Elba Cemetery.
