OBITUARY - CHIPP

Stone Lee Chipp, a lifelong resident of Gentry county (sic), died Monday, March 22, at the Gentry County Memorial hospital (sic) here at the age of 88 years, seven months and four days.

The son of M.T. Chipp and Mary Ann (Magee) Chipp, he was born on a farm near Albany and resided there his entire life.

He was united in marriage on Aug. 25, 1897, to Minnie Ann Hicks, who preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 1962.

Mr. Chipp was a member of the New Hampton Christian church (sic).

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Della Richards of Rt. 1, Albany; a son, Carl W. Chipp of St. Joseph; four grandchildren, J. Robert Richards of Mobile, Ala.; Mrs. Ann Lee Halstead of Albany; Mrs. Carole Carlson of Mansfield, O.; and Joseph W. Chipp of Topeka, Kan.; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Tennant of New Hampton; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, March 25, at two o'clock at the Brooks-Cochell Funeral home with the Rev. Richard Thomas officiating.

Interment will be in the Foster cemetery (sic) at New Hampton.
