Deborah R. Cox, 68, of Bedford, died on Friday July 17, 2020 at Garden Villa Nursing Home.

Born July 24, 1951 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of James W. “Banty” and Icis May (Brock) Gore. She married John E. Cox on June 13, 1970, and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2013. She was a homemaker and a member of the Silverville Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Lelah Rainey and husband David, of Bedford; one son, Berlin James Cox and wife Terika, of Monroe City, IN; six grandchildren, Devon W. Cornett, Dillon K. Cornett and wife Danielle, Denise J. Givens and husband Phillip, Darian J. Cox, Logan B. Cox, Maggie M. Cox; four great-grandchildren, Cooper M. Givens, Chesney Rae Caruso, Ryder W. Cornett, Piper M. Givens; four siblings, Sheryl Myers and husband Steve, Patsy Wheeler and husband George, Danny Joe Gore and wife Laura, Joseph Gore and wife Crissy; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband; parents; and one brother Alan Gore.

Funeral services will be held 11 am on Wednesday, July 22nd at the Silverville Missionary Baptist Church in Silverville, IN. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, July 21st at the Silverville Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery in Silverville. Pallbearers will be James Cox, Devon Cornett, Dillon Cornett, Onis Wheeler, Jody Gore, Darian Cox, Pete Wheeler.
