Mrs. Grace Ethel Thompson, age 85, formerly of Gloversville passed away on Saturday July 18, 2020 at St. Johnsville Nursing Home, where she resided for the last few years.

She was born July 22, 1934 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred Sweet Yost.

Grace proudly worked as an Executive Secretary at Grandoe Corporation of Gloversville for over 45 years.

In her free time she enjoyed to watch her late son Clarence Jr.’s softball games, she never missed a single one. Grace enjoyed to bowl in many different local leagues, and was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church of Gloversville. She was a very devoted grandmother to her two granddaughters.

Grace is survived by her two granddaughters, Jennifer Thompson and Megan Waldron (Thomas); her daughter in-law, Kim Jones (Rob); two great-grandchildren, Piper and Celena Waldron; along with four siblings, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

In addition to both of her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Clarence Thompson, Sr., her son Clarence Thompson, Jr. and 10 siblings.

A graveside funeral service will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
