Mrs. Vera Mae Orr, 73, of Jackson died September 12 at Hinds General Hospital in Jackson. Mrs. Orr was a native of Montgomery County. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mae Ethel Taylor of Jackson; four sons, James F. Orr of Graham, Wash., Thomas E Orr and Sidney Orr, both of Houston, Texas and Ralph Orr of Winona; two sisters, Mrs. Homer Bennett of Greenwood and Mrs. A. R. Heffner of Lambert; for brothers, Houston B. Collins and Deck Collins, both of Greenwood, Thomas J. Collins of Biloxi, and Don W. Collins of New Orleans, 19 grandchildren and 6 grandchildren.
Services were conducted by Rev. C. E. Burden at Lee Funeral Home on September 14 at 2:00 P.M. Burial was in Winona Memorial Gardens with Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Billy W. Taylor, Leon Taylor, John Orr, Sidney Orr, Michael Orr and Morris Orr.
