Ontario Deaths (1869 - 1937) and Overseas Deaths (1939 - 1947) states Robert Dickie, born 1864 in Ontario; died 18 May 1913 in Hamilton Asylum / Patient / Barton, Wentworth, Ontario, age 49; Single; Disease Causing Death - Pulmonary Tuberculosis; Immediate Cause of Death - General Tuberculosis; Duration - 6-months; Father - Alex Dickie (Reference - Yr 1913, CN 36849)

According to the doctors patient history for Robert Dickie he was sand bagged and robbed which was followed by brain fever and insanity. He was in an asylum in Washington Territory until brother took him out of asylum 4-weeks ago (July 1887). Robert does not trust family, friends, or doctors. He was admitted 24 Aug 1887.

Contacted Ontario Genealogical Society for regarding info for Hamilton Asylum having their own cemetery or if most patients were buried in a nearby cemetery. Their suggestion was to do a search of nearby towns, newspaper death notices and obits and obtaining a copy of the death registration.
