RUSSELL'S OBITUARY
Russell Ford James, 82, of Sheffield Lake, died peacefully at his home July 19, 2020. He was born July 2, 1938 in Gassaway, WV moving to Lorain County in 1957.

Ford was employed as a foreman at Timms Spring Company for 44 years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, hunting, fishing, taking his dog, Heidi for rides in his truck, spending time in his garage, and completing projects around his home. He also enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren.



Russ and his wife, Karen (nee Turner) were married 61 years and raised sons, Russell (Laurie) James, Jr. of Sheffield Lake and Steve (Terri) James of Sheffield Village and a daughter Carolyn (Tom) Coy of Avon Lake. Also surviving are grandchildren, Russell (Sarah) James III, Megan Coy, Amanda (Casey) Lee, Justin (Hannah) Coy, Amy James, Chantel James, Tiffany (Ricky) Bilski and Dillon James; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.



He was preceded in death by brothers, Walter, Jr., Joe and Charles; and sisters, Aleen, Irene, Mary, Ruth, Doris and Lois.



A graveside service for the family will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township with Reverend Kelly Brill officiating. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
