Robert Thrams, age 98, of Miles City.
November 16, 1921 – July 18, 2020

Robert (Bob) Thrams, age 98 residing at the Holy Rosary Residential Extended Care, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2020.

Bob was born November 16, 1921 in Beach, ND.
He was one of six children born to his parents Arthur and Esther (Prindle) Thrams.

He had three sisters Mary, Verna, and Olive; two brothers Raymond and Leon.
He attended Oliver Country School in Wibaux County, then attended Junior High and High School in Wibaux. After high school, and since Bob had a passion for crunching numbers, he attended a business school in Billings.
In 1940, upon completing business school, Bob was employed by the First National Bank in Wibaux. In 1941, Bob married Patricia (Pat) Lawrence, daughter of Donald Lawrence, Sr. and Laura (Beeler) Lawrence. Two sons, Donald and Dennis, were born of this marriage. After 63 years of marriage, his wife, Pat, passed in September of 2004.

Bob served in the United States Army during WWII and a brief time during the Korean War in the United States Air Force. After military service, he was back in Wibaux working for the First National Bank.

In the 1950's and 60's, Bob and Pat owned and operated the Tastee Freez ice cream shop in Wibaux and the A&W drive-in in White Sulphur Springs, MT. Bob became an investment/insurance representative, therefore, relocating to Bozeman, MT. No matter where Bob lived, he always was hired as a bookkeeper by small business owners. Bob had a passion for his Lord, his family and all people. He embraced fellowship with his church brothers and sisters no matter where he lived.

Bob is survived by his brother Leon; sons Donald (Carolyn) Thrams of Miles City, MT and Dennis (Margaret) Thrams of Sheridan, WY; his grandchildren: Darwin (Kristine) Thrams of Miles City, MT, Lisa (Rich) Williams of Billings, MT and Patrica Myers of Sheridan, WY; his great grandchildren: Maxwel Myers, Tyler Myers of Sheridan, WY, Eric Thrams of Billings, MT, Brandon Thrams of Miles City, MT and a great great granddaughter Karrah Thrams of Missoula, MT.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, a brother Raymond and his beloved wife.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City.

Interment will follow at a later date next to his wife at the Custer County Cemetery, Miles City, MT.
