Funeral services for Mrs. Monica Kay Russell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Rush Funeral Home, Pine Prairie with Reverend Greg Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Turkey Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pine Prairie.
Mrs. Russell, 71, of Sulphur, entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home.
Monica was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Russell; her mother, Bethel Johnson; her son, C.L. Russell and her great grandson, Curtis Gerald Oquinn.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Jimmy Russell, of Sulphur, Laurine Russell of Gonzales; one daughter, Sandra Ancelet and her husband, Chad, of Sulphur; four grandchildren, Remi Ancelet, Lexie Ancelet, Michael Oquinn, David Russell; one great grandchild, Paige Menard; and some special loved ones, Brandon, Faith, Shida, Tabby and Crick.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pine Prairie, Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
