Mrs. Ruth was a faithful follower of Christ and a devoted member of Tula Baptist Church. She loved to play the piano at church, where she served as the church pianist for almost 50 years. On Sunday’s after church, she would host the family for Sunday lunch where she often would have her own message to share.
Mrs. Ruth was a devoted wife of 49 years to Mike.
Mrs. Ruth loved her children and her grandchildren. She was “Mimi” to fourteen grandchildren. One thing that she made sure to teach them was how to live life to the fullest. She was always taking pictures in which she turned into scrapbooks for all the grandchildren as Christmas presents. When the grandchildren came over she would write skits for them to act out or was planning an adventure or a trip to go on. One grandchild wrote “she made everything feel important, magical”.
Mrs. Ruth loved admiring God’s creation with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Ruth was a lifetime educator. She taught school at Lafayette School District for over 30 years. She loved her children at school like her own.
Mrs. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents James Bobby and Mary Sue Bundren.
Mrs. Ruth is survived by her husband, William Michael “Mike” Foster; her four children, James“Jay” Cordis (Jennifer) Foster of Oxford, Mary LeAnn (Curt) Klepzig of Cleveland, TN, Amy Cathryn (Larry) Dobson of Camden, TN, and Amanda Ruth (Grant) Crockett of Oxford; sevengranddaughters, Bailey Brooke Foster, Katherine Grace Foster, Mary Lyndley Klepzig, Anna Claire Klepzig, Ella Ruth Klepzig, Jay Morgan Dobsonand Caroline Robyn Crockett; and sevengrandsons, John Michael Foster, John Curtis Klepzig, William Joseph Dobson, Andrew James Dobson, Foster Harrison Crockett, Wilks Grant Crockett, and Walker Jude Crockett. Sister-in-love, Mary Alice (Jarvis) Busby, and nieces, Jill Tyler and Jan Marsh, and nephew, Jeff Busby.
