Roger Bruce Hayden, age 66 of the Pleasant Plains Community in Whiteville, passed away on Sunday morning, July 19, 2020, at his home.

Roger was born on December 14, 1953 in Valley City, North Dakota to the late Albert Hayden and Olga Amanda Ramsey Hayden. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Hope Counts Hayden in 2016; a son, Nicholas Hayden in 2003 and a brother, James “Jimmy” Richard Hayden.

Survivors include his daughter, Samantha Faye Hayden Dorsch and husband., Brett, of Nakina; five siblings, Carol H. Schuman (Lindy Harold) of Whiteville, Janet H. Hinson of Whiteville, Linda H. Crawford (Rowland) of Sabin, MN, Eileen H. Holcomb (Ray) of Gwinner, ND and Patty H. Brecto of Ulen, MN; three grandchildren, John Ethan Dorsch, Madison Nichole Dorsch and Collin Walter Dorsch.

Funeral services will held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Interment will follow in the Columbus Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45, prior to the service.
