Maureen Smith Kroll, formerly of Collinsville and Daytona Beach, FL, and for the last five years of Avon, wife of Robert (Buddy) Kroll for 48 years passed away on Wednesday (December 4, 2002).
Born in New Britain, July 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marion Smith.
She worked for many years for Dr. George Gentile in his New Britain/Canton office and later in the office of Dr. Edward Diters of Canton. Maureen was a member of St. Patrick Church, Collinsville; she was a former member of the West Hartford Police Wife's Assoc. and former president and active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Collinsville Volunteer Fire Dept.
She leaves behind her husband, Robert (Buddy) Kroll; and two daughters, Patrice Kittredge of Torrington and Kathleen Hull and her husband Donald of Avon who they spent their summers with; her brother, David Smith of Southington; and two grandchildren, Robert Kittredge and Allyson Kittredge, both of Torrington; as well as many cousins and friends from Canada to Florida. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Avon.
