Charlie Mae Myers born Feb 12, 1924, Poulan, Georgia to the late Ms. Lillie Boatwright and the late Mr. Steve Kitchen.
She was educated in the Worth County School System. Charlie Mae was a caterer for many years and also she was dietician supervisor at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.
On Monday, July 1st, 2019 Charlie Mae departed her life at her home in Sylvester, GA surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her late husband William James Myers, her great-great-grandson Jayce McCray, her brothers Willie Ben Kitchen and Elize “Yank” Kitchen, her sisters: Hattie Henry, Missie Westbrook, Mary Kitchen, Annie Mae Jackson, Rose Mae Hall, and Evelyn Boatwright.
Charlie Mae was known for taking anyone in and making them her own. She loved to cook, dance and travel. She loved the Lord, she read her bible every day. She was a praying woman of God. She didn’t meet any strangers wherever she went. If you were sick she made you well, and if you were sad she knew how to make you laugh, and if you had a problem she would always tell you to give it to the Lord in prayer. No matter who you were she’ll tell you how it is.
