Janet Leigh Smoot-Anderson, age 63 of Fairborn, OH went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at her residence. She was born December 4, 1956 in Xenia, Ohio to Eugene and Jessie (Smith) Smoot.

Janet is survived by her two Sisters, Pastor Donzella (Pastor Ronald) Stewart and Patricia Ann Willis; a twin brother, James Smoot; a brother in law, Ethelbert Cox; a special friend, Sally Payne; and many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 15 years, Joseph Anderson; a sister, Brenda Sue Cox; a brother, Eugene Smoot; and a brother in law, Kenneth Willis.

Janet took great pride in providing special assistance and care to others in her companion care business. Because of her bubbly personality she never met a stranger and was proud to be the "baby". She liked listening to music and spending time with her family and friends. Janet was a flight attendant for People Express and then later worked for Continental Airlines.

A Celebration of Janet's Life will be held at New Life Christian Assembly Church, 436 East Main Street, Xenia, OH, please check back to the website for updated days and times. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
