Ann Hoffman, 89, Haddam, died Monday, July 13, 2020 at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville.

A graveside funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., July 30, at the Patterson Cemetery near Haddam.

Ann was born May 7, 1931 in Leavenworth to Walter and Edith (Davis) Jones. She graduated high school and attended one year at KU. Ann worked as a dispatcher for a sheriff’s office and as a CNA. Ann enjoyed bowling, reading and attending her grandchildren’s activities. She wrote children’s books and was published.

She married Frank Hensley and he preceded her in death in 1992. On November 6, 1993, she married George Hoffman and he preceded her in death in 2008.

Survivors include her son, Dennis Malone, Haddam; daughter, Sherrie Rider, Wichita; stepson, Billy (Sally) Hoffman, Haddam; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
