Becky L. Nelson, 69, of Decatur, IN passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at her residence. Becky was born on October 24, 1949 in Oakland, CA to the late Paul and Marion Winifred (McCoy) Saylor.
Becky attended St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. She was an R.N. for 28 years at Scripps Hospital in California before retiring and coming to Decatur. Becky was an award winning quilter. Several of her quilts will be on display at her memorial service.
Becky is survived by her 3 daughters, Sonia (Kevin) Meeter of Colorado Springs, CO, Angie (Jack) Bracey of Decatur and Kim Nelson of Ft. Wayne; 3 sisters, Paula Wilkie of Portage, IN, Lynne (Maurie) Bennett of Lake Placid, FL and Jerrie Hanson of Wichita, KS; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Shaw.
Per Becky’s wishes, cremation will take place prior to her family hosting a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. There will be a memorial visitation one hour prior to her service from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at St. Marks United Methodist Church.
Memorials are to Visiting Nurse and Hospice, Ft. Wayne.
