Mrs. Bell was born June 1, 1920, in Champaign County, the daughter of Paul and Lottie (Branson) Provines, Sr. She married Harry O. Bell Feb. 8, 1974, and he survives.
She was a retired bookkeeper and was affiliated with First Christian Church in Bridgeport.
Other survivors include two sons, Jerry Brown, Laramie, Wy.; James Brown, Loogootee, Ind.; her father Paul Provines, Sr., a step-son, James Jacobson, Sumner; two step-daughters, Darlene Stringer, Nahsville, Tenn.; Betty Cole, Manteca, Ca.; a brother, Chester Provines, Niantic; a sister, Charlotte Provines, Sumner; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
