Mr. Cole passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the Clay County Hospital. A lifelong resident of Clay County, Mr. Cole was a graduate of Lineville High School, had worked for Kimberly Clark for several years, and then worked as the Lineville City Clerk for 30 plus years before retiring. He was a long time devoted member and deacon of Lineville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Terri C. Hilyer of Pike Road; one grandson, Cole O. Hilyer of Pike Road; and two sisters: Mildred Cole Lee (Harold) of Montgomery, and Mary Cole Stewart of Anniston.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Maynard Cole and Claudine Hendrix Cole, and his wife, Faye East Cole.
Active Pallbearers are: Stanley Hurst, Neal Hurst, Gary Denson, Christopher Upchurch, Ricky Farr, Larry Robertson, Rusty Taylor, and Dustin Laney.
