Missy grew up and lived in Van Zandt County most of her life. She loved her career as a register nurse and worked in the Tyler hospitals. It was there she was honored to have been a part of the beginning of the Heart Hospitals. Always eager to learn and to help others learn, she enjoyed being a guest speaker at medical conferences. Missy loved her animals and riding horses. She was able to publish a book entitled, "Child of the Wilderness" and was working on a second book. She was a member of St. Justin's Episcopal Church in Canton.
Mrs. Priest is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Schweitzer and Joann Adams White.
