Her father died in 1857. Ida remained in Snostorp with her mother, brother John and sister Emma when her brothers Sven Peter and Anton Bernardt immigrated to the US in March of 1888. Her sister Emma later immigrated to the US in March of 1898.
At some point Ida married a man named Bruhn. No information about their children. Ida died in Snostorp in 1955 and buried in the Lutheran Church cemetery where her parents were buried.
