Dorothy Anne Abbott age 90, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022.

Mrs. Abbott was born in Atlanta, GA, on January 26, 1932, the daughter of the late Frederick Hayward Dortch and Virginia Veach Dortch. She was a member of Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mrs. Abbott worked twelve years as the administrator for Hill Haven Nursing Home and retired from Smyrna Towers, Inc. as the administrator in Smyrna, GA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Abbott was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Abbott and two brothers, Teddy and Randy Dortch.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey "Jeff" Abbott (Jane); daughter, Sheree Hutchinson (Kenneth); six grandchildren, Scotty Abbott (Karen), William Hutchinson (Kristen), Drake Abbott (Danielle) Anna Ballard (Grayson), Amy Phillips (Matt), and Phil Phillips (Christina); eight great-grandchildren, Parker Ballard, Bennett Ballard, Tinley Jane Ballard, Magdalena Abbott, Jeremiah Phillips, Mason Abbott, Jackson Abbott, and Sarah Frances Hutchinson; two more great-grandchildren will soon arrive; and a brother, Joel Dortch (Donna).

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 6, 2023, at 1:00 P.M., Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Collegedale Memorial Park Cemetery.
