William Wallace Dies In 79th year
The funeral for William Milton Wallace was held July 14th from the Patterson Funeral Home, to the Auld Kirk cemetery, Almonte. The service was conducted by Rev H.W. Giffin, assisted by Rev T. McCord. Mr Wallace died at his home here in his 79th year after an illness of two years. He was born in Ramsay township, being the son of the late Charles Wallace and his wife Alice Tweed. On September 7, 1910, he married the former Mary Campbell at Renfrew. Surviving are four sons, Jack of Carleton Place, Bruce of Campbellford, Howard of Perth, and Oliver of Carleton Place; one daughter Mrs L. Scarth (Emily), Belleville; two brothers, Dr Harry Wallace, Wainwright, Alta, and John W. Wallace, Regina; and two sisters, Mrs O. Boyd (Jennie), Vancouver, and Mrs J.B. Wallace (Mayzie), Winnipeg. There are 12 grandchildren. The pallbearers were George Doucett, John A. McArton, Arthur McNeely, Chas McGregor, Harry Young, James Henry.
