Hugh, of Beaumont, formerly of Groves, passed away Saturday, at Calderwood in Beaumont. He was born in Alabama to James Henry Rose and Winnie Ida Davis Rose. He was a 1948 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked in the Engineering Department at Texaco Refinery and at the Houston office of the U.S. Refining Department and was Manager of the U.S. Maintenance Refining Department.He retired in 1979 from Texaco, Inc in Port Arthur. Hugh served in World War II and remained in the Army Reserve following the war until his retirement in 1978 as a Lt. Colonel.
