David Miller was the son of Lodowich Miller. David was living in northern Rockingham County, VA by 1783. About 1790, he moved to Augusta County, VA and lived various places there. From 1812 until his death he lived on a 492 acre farm where this cemetery is located. He was a leader in the formation and growth of the Dunkard (Church of the Brethren) Church in Augusta County.
