Charlotte L. Jackson, 88, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa died on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Presbyterian Church of Argo where she was a devoted member. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born in Webster City, Iowa on October 28, 1931, the daughter of George and Gertrude (Bauer) Worthington and was a graduate of Webster City High School. On June 6, 1954, she was united in marriage to James L. Jackson in Webster City. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2001.

Charlotte continued her education in x-ray technology in St. Paul, Minnesota and was employed as an x-ray and nuclear medicine technician at the former Mercy Hospital in Davenport, Iowa for many years, retiring in 1992.

She was an active member of her church, participating in the bell choir and vocal choir as well. In her leisure time, she enjoyed the challenge of word puzzles.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Joyce Jackson of Bettendorf and Joanne Schwartz of Bettendorf; her sons, Jeffrey (Suzanne) Jackson of Davenport, Jon Jackson of Bettendorf and James Jackson of LeClaire; her grandchildren, Melissa Andersen, Cayla Dittmer and Dr. Christine Schwartz; her great-grandchildren, Signe Andersen and Beatrix Andersen; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Worthington and Jane Bates.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Warren Worthington and Donald Worthington.
